Child & Adolescent Therapy, Integrative Therapist, Psychotherapy

Hannah Cotmore

Integrative Child, Adolescent & Family Psychotherapist

Compassionate, personalised and neurodiversity-affirming therapy for children, young people, adults and families.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you are navigating difficult emotions, relationship challenges, family difficulties or questions around identity and neurodiversity. I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted, creating the foundations for meaningful and lasting change.

I hold an MSc in Child Development, specialising in empathy and neurodivergence, and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents and Families. My professional experience includes managing a Surrey-based service supporting families affected by child-to-parent violence and abuse, giving me a deeper understanding of the complexities of family relationships and the importance of compassionate, tailored support.

My integrative approach draws on a range of therapeutic models, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic practice, play therapy, and family and systemic approaches. Grounded in a person-centred philosophy, I tailor therapy to the individual's unique needs, experiences and strengths. With children and young people, I often incorporate play and creative exploration to support emotional expression and help them make sense of their experiences. With adults, I provide a reflective space rooted in openness, curiosity and respect.

Alongside my clinical work, I deliver training and psychoeducation to professionals and organisations on neurodiversity, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and healthy relationships. I also facilitate training for professionals supporting adolescents to engage confidently in conversations about relationships, identity and emotional wellbeing.

At the heart of my work is the belief that we are all more than a diagnosis or a label. I am passionate about helping individuals and families understand how their experiences, relationships and neurodiversity shape their emotional worlds. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I aim to foster greater self-understanding, strengthen relationships and support lasting emotional resilience.
