Losing someone close to you can make you feel you're on a rollercoaster of guilt, anger, sadness - or maybe all three at once. But you don't have to go through this alone.

Whether your loss is through bereavement or the end of a relationship - or is another type of loss such as redundancy, loss of identity, or loss of what-might-have-been, talking it out can help you gain a different perspective.

Together, we can explore and unravel your difficult thoughts, and help you to gain clarity, and a sense of calm. I promise to listen, and never judge.

I am a Registered Member of BACP, trained in person-centred counselling and attachment issues. I have been in private practice for two years. Before that, I worked for a bereavement counselling service for three years, including during the Covid pandemic. I have also worked in carers centres, support work roles and on charity helplines over the last 14 years.

I can help with many different problems, past and present. One particular interest is in carers’ issues, a subject close to my heart due to family experience.

My aim is to create a warm, empathic relationship between us, and to understand your unique situation from your point of view.

I offer a free introductory phone call of 20 minutes to talk about what has brought you to counselling at this time, and to see if you think I am the right counsellor for you.

I know that counselling can feel like a leap into the unknown – so please feel free to ask me about any concerns or questions you may have. If you would like to have a chat about how I may be able to help, do drop me an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can (usually within 24 hours).
