Integrative Therapist and Coach

Highly trained and fully qualified BACP counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults and young people over the age of 16. I am passionate about helping people improve their lives and make long lasting change. I understand that taking the first steps into therapy can feel daunting and you may feel unsure about what’s involved. I am here to make the process easier.

I work as an integrative therapist; this means I draw on different theories and skills, and apply those that are best suited to you. This includes:
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Person-centred therapy

I can support you with issues ranging from anxiety, loss and low self-esteem to relationship, work and family difficulties. Alongside therapeutic interventions, I also utilise coaching skills to help you reach your goals. This means that our sessions will not only focus on present difficulties and the impact of past experiences, but will also look towards the future to help you achieve meaningful change.

My aim is to help you develop a greater insight into the difficulties you are experiencing and the skills to help you cope so that you are better able to understand yourself and live a fulfilled life. Therapy is a collaborative process so I work at your pace in a supportive, safe and non-judgemental environment where you are free to be yourself. I am warm, friendly and kind and want you to feel comfortable and at ease during our sessions.

I have a specialist interest in working with women so alongside my independent practice, I work as a volunteer counsellor at the Sutton Women’s Centre where I support women who have experienced domestic abuse. I am also a member of the Independent Monitoring Board at Downview women’s prison in Banstead where I monitor the fair and humane treatment of female prisoners.

Prior to training as a therapist, I had a long career in local and central government communications.
